A considerable part of our business consists of creating interiors for shops, businesses, offices, gyms and reception areas. The key features of building exhibition stands and building interiors are the same. They both have to show off what they are selling in the finest possible way. Even for something like a reception area which isn’t actually “selling” anything, it’s important that anyone walking into it gets the best possible first impression. And that’s where we have the expertise.
Here are some examples of interiors that we have built. Compare them with the exhibition stands down the right hand side of this page and you’ll see what I mean.
To get technical for a minute, it’s all to do with a science called semiology. Semioticians study the “signs” that anything gives off – signs that people read either consciously or subconsciously and which give them an impression.
So you might want to create a feeling that you’re high quality and exclusive. On the other hand you could be wishing to convey an atmosphere of comfort and accessibility. Alternatively, something that is for young people or something that is for the older generation. It’s all to do with the signs you create for people to read and often it’s not connected with the actual expense of the build – it’s simply the way you create a certain impression.
And that’s what we are good at. In our discussions with you we will talk to you about what impression you want to make and then our designers will go about achieving that for you.
Here are some more examples of work we’ve done. While you’re looking through them, it’s worth noting the different signs they give off. Look at the difference between the lingerie shop and the high-end men’s clothing store for instance.
SO WHY CHOOSE US?
We work around you.
Most shop-fitters work from 9.00 to 5.00. Because we are in the exhibition stand business we are used to working long and unsocial hours. Exhibition stands often have to be build through the night. We can do the same for you, working outside your normal business hours to minimise any disruption and provide the least inconvenience.
We are quick and professional. Our purpose is to get you open and making money as quickly as possible. Most of the work we do is off-site. We can build your interior in our large factory and then transport it wholesale to your site.
You’ll be astonished at how quickly we can effect a complete transformation.
See our case-study on the Wellbeing Fitness Health Studio below.
Wellbeing Fitness – a case study
Wellbeing Fitness is a fitness studio in Northamptonshire. It operates differently from a gym because clients go there to have personal training in complete privacy, alone with the personal trainer in one of two small, well-equipped studios.
Part of the impression that Wellbeing Fitness wish to create for their clients is that it is an exclusive environment. The people who go there are treated as individuals – they are pampered. But at the same time it is not a beauty salon.
Clients go there to exercise and get fit in friendly and welcoming surroundings.
When they opened, we created a complete interior for them in a space which was not much more than a concrete shell.

Three years later, Wellbeing Fitness took over another studio called Good Condition in Lincoln which was similar in outlook but did not conform to the Wellbeing ethos. For example it was open-plan so everybody could see everyone else training, especially those people waiting in Reception. They asked us to effect a transformation so that it was unmistakably Wellbeing Fitness – an identical look in a completely different shaped building. We did this in a week, pre-building walls and units and then transporting them to Lincoln.
